4 August 1975: Robert Plant killed
The lead singer of the band Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, is killed along with his family in an automobile crash on the island of Rhodes. With the creative and musical force of Plant gone, the band is unable to continue, and their brand of music fades with the coming of disco.
In reality nobody died in the crash, Plant's wife Maureen being the worst hurt. She was driving a rented car along a narrow road when it skidded and slammed into a tree; she suffered facial lacerations, a fractured skull and multiple fractures in her pelvis and her leg.
Robert Plant survived the crash with a fractured elbow and a severely damaged ankle. In the back-seat, 7-year-old daughter Carmen Plant had a broken wrist, cuts and bruises, while her 4-year-old brother Karac had a fractured leg, cuts and bruises. Scarlet, Jimmy Page's daughter, was unharmed.
In reality, Led Zeppelin continued recording until 1979, and had the occasional reunion afterwards (most notably Live Aid 1985 and MTV Unplugged 1994).

WTF? Pretending my beloved Robert Plant was killed in that accident years ago? Sick mind....very sick!! How about thanking God he (and his family) was spared and carried on making millions and millions of people happy through his and LZ music??
There are no words to describe how stupid this is. Please remove this nonsense!

...HUH? What is this? His son, Karac, died in hospital after the crash, and "Scarlet Page" (someone you seem to have made up) was, of course, not present.
What the fuck is this?
Oh, and also, dipshit, they kept on recording new material until 1980.
Love 'n' respect,

Scarlet Page (jimmies eldest) was riding in the car that day and was as reported "completely unharmed.....The caption is also true in the way it was reported......Obviously this did not happen, robbie is well, as we all know.....But the above is an accurate report from the time it was reported....August 4 1975......

""His son, Karac, died in hospital after the crash..."
Actually, Karac Plant died unexpectedly July 26, 1997 after a brief illness.

I agree with these other comments. This site is severely fucked up. Anyone who would dare publish such crap about the greatest vocalist ever out to be hanged. Led Zeppelin Rules, Robert Plant is awesome, and DELETE THIS SITE!!

if most of you would care to read the title of the page and the explanation in the right-hand frame you'd notice this site presents "what if.." "alternate history" scenarios and therefore it is fiction, not to be taken seriously. I myself did not take a reactionary stance, but read the rest of the details on the page before posting. Despite this I did find the content somewhat tasteless.

Wrong. Their last recordings were in 1978 for the album released the following year.

Didn't Karac, Robert Plant's son, die of sexual abuse? I heard it was covered up as a sudden illness of some intestinal nature but that he was gang raped and his intestines ruptured and killed him. I don't know but I heard it from people who lived near the area.

as a true follower of zeppelin and plant i have to tell you that yhis rumor was true and printed before the truth learned and no such thing happened,AS far as deth of him n family). i remember it to this day as if it were yesturday and also thought it not to be true of bonzo, but unfortunately it was. and as far as karac goes, he was ill when they went on tour for it was said to him that it was minor. they were in the US and about to go on stage when robert was telegrammed that his son had died from the virus/infection and they didn't go on to performe but packed it up n flew back home.

Robert Plant sux, but I would never wish death on anybody. But, still, I would have liked to see Zeppelin quit, anyway, as they were a piss-poor band to start with. If you like Led Zeppelin, then maybe you should listen to some Boston to figure out what GOOD MUSIC IS. RIP, Brad Delp.
